Why Quven exists
Quven started because watching our own film and TV collection had become harder than it should be. The options were a server that charged to reach your own files, or a free stack you assembled yourself and then maintained for years.
The line between free and paid is operating cost. Your files stay on hardware you own and local home use is free; the paid features are the cloud services that cost money to run, and nothing else.
The server, the account, the profiles and the clients were designed together, so you get one product to use instead of a stack to maintain. There are no ads, no behavioural or cross-site tracking, and nothing that locks you in.
