Self-hosted means it stays yours.
Quven is built so the sensitive parts — your files, your network, your account — stay under your control. Here is exactly what lives where, and how to reach us if you find a problem.
Where your data lives
Your library on your hardware; only the state that should follow you on your account.
Your media never leaves home
Your files stay on the hardware you own. Quven streams from your machine — it never uploads or mirrors your library to us.
Your account holds what should follow you
Identity, your linked servers, and per-profile state — watchlists, ratings, reviews and resume points — so they survive reinstalls and move between servers.
No ads, no behavioural tracking
We don't sell data, run ad networks or build advertising profiles. The product is the server, not your attention.
Remote access, your way
Free when you host the path yourself; encrypted and zero-config when you don't want to.
Self-hosted remote, free
Reach your server with your own port-forward, reverse proxy or mesh VPN — entirely free and entirely under your control.
Managed relay, encrypted
The optional zero-config relay carries an encrypted tunnel between your client and your server. It is a path to your library, never a copy of it.
How we handle the rest
Sensible defaults for account security and diagnostics, with the controls in your hands.
Modern account security
Passwords are stored hashed, sessions use short-lived tokens that rotate, and entitlements are cryptographically signed.
Diagnostics you control
Optional crash and error diagnostics are scrubbed of personal identifiers and never carry your media. You can switch them off at any time.
Responsible disclosure
Found a security issue? We want to hear about it. Please report it privately and give us a reasonable chance to fix it before any public disclosure.
Bring your library home.
